The transportation sector is undergoing a paradigm shift driven by digitalization, sustainability goals, and user-centric mobility solutions. GAIA-X, a European initiative for a federated and secure data infrastructure, presents a transformative opportunity to enable secure, interoperable, and sovereign data sharing across mobility stakeholders. This paper explores how GAIA-X principles can be applied to the transportation sector, focusing on intelligent mobility, logistics optimization, and integrated multimodal transportation systems. We present the architectural framework, use cases, challenges, and policy implications of implementing GAIA-X in transport ecosystems. Two examples illustrate the benefits of GAIA-X.

摘要
