Recruitment of future psychiatrists is an important task of the program director and their team. In this chapter, we discuss the elements of the recruitment process. We ask program directors to consider their goals for recruitment and the internal and external components of recruitment. We encourage program directors to think about the shareholders in the recruitment process and to be aware of the changing technological landscape surrounding recruitment.
