Research and Scholarly Activity During Psychiatry Residency Training
摘要
Participation in scholarly activities is an important part of graduate medical education and teaches residents to develop habits of inquiry as a continuing professional responsibility. In this chapter, we review important considerations for designing and integrating scholarly activities in psychiatry residency training and how to increase scholarly productivity of psychiatry residents. We discuss how scholarly output can be measured and the considerations for reporting of scholarly activities to the ACGME. Finally, we outline important considerations for dedicated resident research tracks, which have the goal to provide a structured framework for integrated research and clinical training of emerging physician-scientists in psychiatry.
