The safety of the water supply is largely determined by the qualitative state of the water source. When planning the physical protection of water bases, we can encounter a number of features that can be challenging during the construction and subsequent operation of the protection system. One of them is the territorial extent of the water base. The extreme meteorological characteristics associated with climate change may give rise to additional difficulties. In the event of malfunctions of abstraction facilities and incidents, it is important to provide rapid and accurate information on the safety situation in order to ensure that safety measures are taken as accurately as possible. The method of aerial survey has long been used to control large areas. And the development of UAV control quickly made them suitable for this task. The author examines the application possibilities of UAVs in the integrated physical protection system of water bases.
