Electricity Market and Grid Challenges Due to Renewable Energy Producers
摘要
The penetration of renewable energy sources poses significant challenges for electricity markets and energy networks. The study reviews the technical, economic and regulatory challenges of integrating solar and wind power and presents possible solutions that could promote grid stability and market efficiency. The main problems include generation variability due to weather dependency, price volatility, management of distributed generation and limited energy storage capacity. The study analyses in detail the use of innovative technologies such as smart grids, forecasting algorithms and advanced energy storage solutions such as lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen-based systems and redox-flow batteries. It will focus on the development of decentralised models, flexible grid infrastructures and energy-efficient regulatory frameworks. The study points out that the sustainable integration of renewables requires a complex approach, including the development of smart grids, the expansion of energy storage capacity and addressing regulatory challenges. The energy systems of the future will be more decentralised, digital and sustainable, which will require proactive steps.
