Advanced IoT-Driven Health Monitoring for Dairy Cattle Welfare

Farmers need effective tracking of dairy cattle health to increase milk production and meet the ever-increasing demand in various regions of the world. This letter presents a wireless sensor network and an IoT-based smart cattle monitoring system to obtain real-time data on cattle health conditions. The data obtained are stored in a database and can be put into use by farm owners to apply the relevant farm control methods. Through this approach, farmers are in a position to increase production levels and reduce human interference. The system is designed to monitor early symptoms of the disease and take timely action to prevent a decline in health status. The system utilizes various sensors, including temperature, pulse rate, and accelerometer, to collect real-time data on the health status of the cattle. The started scheme could be helpful in improving the health condition of cattle and increasing the efficiency of livestock farming.
