Engineers are facing new challenges in the era of the current industrial revolution, which implies improving skills from the student years, within academic courses. This study analyzes the implementation of active teaching/learning strategies within the course of Mechanism and Machine Science (MMS), mainly for the development of critical and creative thinking skills, but also communication and collaboration skills; applications are presented, especially using simulation and modeling of mechanisms with the help of AutoCAD and ADAMS software, easy to use, appreciated by students. Concepts difficult to assimilate through traditional teaching - when the teacher explains the theory at the beginning and presents applications at the end - become accessible to students through active learning, such as problem-based learning, while creating the satisfaction of their discovery.

摘要
