In this chapter, infinite products are introduced and examined as tools serving two main purposes: on the one hand, to construct holomorphic or meromorphic functions with prescribed properties; on the other, to provide product representations of known functions. In particular, we establish the basic theory of entire functions. As a slight departure from the main topics, the final section discusses the Mittag-Leffler theorem on the partial fraction decomposition of meromorphic functions.

摘要

In this chapter, infinite products are introduced and examined as tools serving two main purposes: on the one hand, to construct holomorphic or meromorphic functions with prescribed properties; on the other, to provide product representations of known functions. In particular, we establish the basic theory of entire functions. As a slight departure from the main topics, the final section discusses the Mittag-Leffler theorem on the partial fraction decomposition of meromorphic functions.
