This chapter describes the path followed to redesign an undergraduate terminology course that used European-centred pedagogical principles, based on old-fashioned instructor-student hierarchical interactions, as well as passive learning methods, such as lecturing and rereading notes. The newly revitalized course now includes Indigenous pedagogical values, promoting more egalitarian interactions and active learning strategies, engaging students in group and in-class reflection activities. The chapter also highlights the natural converging points between Indigenous values and active learning concepts and exemplifies Indigenous values in teaching and reporting on research through its use of the storytelling approach.

摘要
