This paper is focused on a research project that maps a theoretical framework, and a practical experimentation that aims to create a digital text-based installation. The general objective is to analyze the aesthetic potential of imagistic digital typography in a contemporary artistic discourse. The specific objective is to explore the immersive and interactive environment and its exploratory approach to mediate the reading experience. In this process, we used a selection of poems from Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen to address the question: how can contemporary digital art approaches promote a different reading experience and transform the emotional perception of a poem? To answer it, we conducted a methodology which combined art practice-based research articulated with interpretative phenomenology, literature review, case studies, artistic references analysis, visual research, focus groups, and user-centred research. The analysis of collected data resulted in a framework that supported the development of the typographic installation prototype, which was subsequently tested to generate further insights.

摘要
