This paper describes methodological explorations focused on designing an interactive sticker-based questionnaire, for 4–7 year old children at the Huangmei Opera Museum. Traditional text-based questionnaires are not appropriate for children of this age due to limited attention, reading and writing abilities. To address this, a visually engaging and fun format was developed to explore children’s visitor experience. The questionnaire was structured around five key dimensions: cultural awareness, interactive experience, technological innovation, museum enjoyment and visit intention. A better understanding of children’s interests and preferences in visiting the museum was achieved. This exploratory work provides meaningful insights for future exhibition design and is the basis for the next phase of the PhD project, which will involve further research with older children and adult audiences.

摘要
