Industrial Monitoring of Trace Elements in Wrought Aluminum Alloys with High Post-consumer Scrap Content
摘要
In response to the increasing use of post-consumer scrapScrap (PCSPost-Consumer Scrap (PCS)) in aluminum alloyAluminum alloy production, we recalibrated an existing Spark-optical emissionEmissions spectrometer (S-OES) to improve the detection and quantification of trace and tramp elementsTrace and tramp elements. By developing tailored calibration curves for 35 elements and optimizing analytical protocols, we achieved LOD and LOQ values approximately one order of magnitude lower than typical industry spark-OES. The upgraded method enables accurate monitoring of T/T elements in industrial laboratories without the need for new advanced instrumentation.
