However, the capacity of off-gasholderGasholder was limited, and the transient behavior made the management of holders complex and challenging. Under coarse management, long-standing issues such as off-gas flaring and shortage limited the plant’s potential for energy cost reductionReduction and efficiency improvement. This paper studied the trends and challenges of off-gas prediction and scheduling and proposed an integrated framework of off-gas generation,consumption, and off-gasholderGasholder level forecasting and scheduling. Leveraging metallurgical models and data-driven techniques, it accurately forecasts key indicators hours ahead. The proposed framework was suitable to support intelligent and stable off-gas management in steelSteel enterprises.
