Providing a broad picture of marine sustainability and economic integration, this chapter analyses the confluence of Blue Economy principles with Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water). Using secondary data from the UN SDG Indicator Database, the Ocean Health Index, and Voluntary National Reviews, the chapter assesses the marine health and policy performance of selected countries. It acknowledges great practices in ocean management, brings up areas for improvement, and examines how well governments are adopting Blue Economy ideals into their development objectives. The findings give academics striving to enhance ecological stewardship and promote sustainable ocean-based economic growth with practical suggestions for lawmakers.
