Integration of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Through Adaptive Governance in Realizing Ocean Guardian Villages in Coastal Areas
摘要
This chapter discusses the impacts received by coastal communities due to climate change, including global phenomena such as rising sea levels, abrasion, seawater intrusion and damage to marine ecosystems. The first section aims to explore the adaptive governance approach, which begins by identifying the relationship between climate change and sustainable development goals, especially analyzing the impact of climate change on coastal areas. The second section presents the concept and integration of climate change and sustainable development, as well as the relationship between the SDGs and Asta Cita Indonesia. The third section highlights the implementation of adaptive governance policies in coastal areas as the main solution in facing the challenges of climate change and achieving the SDGs and Asta Cita goals. The fourth section presents the concept of a marine guard village with its three main pillars as a strategy to support the maintenance of marine ecosystems in facing the challenges of climate change in coastal areas. This chapter shows that the success of realizing the Marine Guard Village as a pillar of sustainable coastal development and a strategy to face the challenges of climate change is supported by integrated and adaptive policies, institutional assistance, strengthening cross-sector collaboration networks to achieve sustainable development goals.
