Philosophical Intuitions and the Incredulous Stare
摘要
This chapter revisits modal realism, focusing on the objection from incredulity, which challenges intuitively unacceptable theories. It examines a response based on the distinction between existence simpliciter and actual existence. The chapter also addresses epistemological concerns, particularly intuitions, by defending modal realism through the distinction between Moorean and non-Moorean facts. Additionally, it introduces the concept of negational absurdity, where violating certain common-sense facts leads to paradoxical consequences.
