Additive Manufacturing of Tri-chiral and Anti-tetra-chiral Auxetic Structures with VAT Photopolymerization
摘要
This research investigated the mechanical behavior via compression tests of several complex structures tri-chiral and anti-tetra-chiral structures made by additive manufacturingAdditive manufacturing, using the VAT photopolymerization technique. Several parameters were varied to see their effect on the mechanical response. The compression tests were conducted in a universal testing machine, while their microstructureMicrostructure was observed in an optical and a scanning electron microscopy. Finite element analysis using Ansys software was done. The best structures for the auxeticAuxetic structure (synclastic) behavior were the anti-tetra-chiral structures, which could lead into better performance in applications such as impact or compression loading.
