Declarative memory is a complex and consciously accessible cognitive function that plays a fundamental role in learning, reasoning, and decision-making processes. In the context of bio-inspired artificial intelligence, it offers a wide array of potential applications, ranging from knowledge retrieval and spatial navigation to explainable AI and human–machine interaction. Despite its relevance, the literature still lacks a comprehensive investigation that consolidates these diverse applications. This paper addresses this gap by identifying and analyzing the main domains in which declarative memory models have been applied since 2015. Furthermore, it explores the current limitations and technical challenges associated with each application domain, highlighting opportunities for future research and development.

摘要
