Architectural Design Tools for Transition
摘要
This chapter aims to present a set of tools that can be useful for the practice of architectural design in transitional peace-building contexts. Some of these tools have been used by expert and non-expert designers in territories with complex realities and their results have generated impacts aligned with the hypothesis of this research to the extent that they have contributed to the promotion of autonomy, the vision of the future, the appropriation of space and the parameters proposed in the theoretical model for transitional design towards peace. To present the tools, first a contextualization of the way in which the concept of tool has been understood for the purposes of this research will be made. Subsequently, a synthesis of each of the tools will be presented to demonstrate their main characteristics and approaches in relation to peace building in Colombia and the work of architectural designers within this framework.
