This research focuses on the formation and development of digital platforms in Russia at the macro- and meso-levels of economic management. This has a significant impact on the transformation of the economy and creates new opportunities for business and society through network and synergy effects. By comparing domestic and international uses of digital platforms, the analysis highlights the respective strengths and weaknesses of each. By examining regional variations, the authors revealed how implementation differs across the country’s regions and how these differences in platform efficiency shape each area’s prospects for future economic growth. The presence of various digital platforms (instrumental, infrastructural, and applied) fixes their comprehensive impact on various areas of the economic life of society (services for citizens and organizations, banking, logistics, retail, etc.) and characterizes the need for their further introduction and development in Russian practice. Consequently, it is essential to examine current regulatory approaches and refine them.

摘要
