The research aims to determine the development trends of digital technologies in industry. During the research, the author used analysis, synthesis, systematization, logical generalization, and reflection. The research basis includes the works of Russian and international authors on the digital transformation of industry and enterprises. Digital transformation is not just the introduction of new technologies but rather adapting business models, production processes, and corporate culture to new realities. It requires a holistic approach that provides a harmonious combination of technology, human capital, and organizational structure, which is due to the capabilities and challenges of the use of digital technologies in industry and society. The author identified six trends in the development of digital technologies in industry. The research is not limited to the consideration of technological aspects of digital transformation, it also analyzes this transformation as a multifaceted process that requires adapting business models, production processes, and corporate culture. The research is a systemic review of the main trends in developing digital technologies in the industry. The emphasis is placed on technological innovation and ethical and environmental aspects. Reflecting on the ethical implications of digital technologies in industry raises the question of whether fully digitalizing the entire sector is appropriate—a topic that demands further research and careful justification.
