Technological Advances and Negative Effects
摘要
This chapter addresses a variety of direct and indirect negative effects, including habitat loss and deforestation, habitat fragmentation, air, soil, and water pollution, noise pollution, climate change, significant impacts on animal husbandry, behavioral changes in wildlife, the introduction of non-native species, and increased exposure to electromagnetic radiation. The rapid progression of technology has imposed considerable pressures on the animal kingdom. Engineering designs often overlook considerations related to the health and well-being of animals and ecosystems; however, their vitality is closely linked to overall environmental health.
