Biomechanical Evaluation of Upper Limb Arthroplasty in Amputees and the Effects of Phantom Limb Syndrome Through a Prosthetic Device Compliant with NOM-241-SSA1-2021
摘要
This study focuses on establishing the design and engineering parameters of a myoelectric prosthetic device for upper limb amputations, developed in compliance with Mexican health regulation NOM-241-SSA1-2021, which outlines good manufacturing practices for medical devices. The prosthesis was designed based on the anthropometric and anatomical characteristics of the case study: a female patient with complete finger amputation in the right hand. In addition, the research analyzes the biomechanical effects of prosthesis use on the residual limb’s functionality, as well as the potential influence of the phantom limb syndrome on the user’s adaptation process.
