Applications in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
摘要
Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) has always been about managing wounds. In orthopedic trauma, use has evolved from managing open fracture wounds to trying to minimize risk of wound breakdown or infection after traumatic injuries by using incisional NPWT (iNPWT). This chapter will review the indications, surgical techniques, and literature surrounding NPWT in orthopedic trauma.
