Digital Information Infrastructures Security
摘要
In this chapter we explored the growing importance of securing digital information infrastructures in the construction industry with the main focus on Building Information Modeling, Common Data Environments, and smart devices. We then explored that while these digital tools improve collaboration, efficiency, and project management, they also introduce new cybersecurity vulnerabilities if not properly protected. The chapter detailed cybersecurity standards such as ISO 19650, PAS 1192-5, and GDPR that guide the secure handling of BIM and CDE data, and highlighted the specific risks linked with smart devices in construction environments. Finally, it introduced the CIA-SUPAR, an Octagon modern expansion of the traditional CIA triad outlining eight fundamental principles to safeguard confidentiality, integrity, availability, safety, control, authenticity, utility, and resilience across the construction project’s digital life cycle.
