Cybersecurity Standards
摘要
We explored the pivotal role of cybersecurity standards in safeguarding smart buildings, construction environments, and digital workflows. We introduced three key frameworks: ISO 27000 for information security management systems (IT security), IEC 62443 for securing operational technology (OT). Then we introduced industrial automation systems, and the flexible, risk-based NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) 2.0, which emphasizes Zero Trust principles. Throughout the chapter, we discussed how these standards apply to securing digital controllers, Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), smart grids, and remote maintenance platforms, addressing the growing cybersecurity challenges facing the construction sector. The chapter concluded by comparing these frameworks and showing the importance of adopting best practices to ensure resilient, secure, and future-ready construction and building operations.
