Real Estate Markets and Submarkets in Türkiye
摘要
Türkiye’s real estate market is emerging and continues to attract significant investment. The country is a major hub for tourism, logistics, and office services. In recent years, substantial retail and residential developments have been made. Türkiye is also considered an important transit point for human migration from the Middle East and Eastern countries, and it is an appealing centre for Europe and the Gulf Region due to its natural and historical attributes. Simultaneously, it is becoming a land of opportunity for economic investments. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the world, with its subsequent economic effects continuing to linger. It is essential to note that restrictions on energy use and production have adverse consequences. Similarly, the construction sector and the real estate sector in Türkiye have been affected, mirroring global trends. The economic repercussions within these sectors’ sub-sectors have led to a shift in balance. This chapter assesses the factors influencing the real estate market in Türkiye, considering recent economic developments supported by economic data.
