Infineon: Integrated Supply Chain Architecture to Support Sustainability
摘要
Sustainability, encompassing the interconnected economic, ecological, and social dimensions, has been a guiding principle since the 1987 Brundtland Report and was further solidified by the UN Global Compact. The EU Commission’s 2011 definition of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as “the responsibility of enterprises for their impacts on society” underscores its significance. Infineon actively integrates these aspects into its operations, strategically focusing its product portfolio on energy efficiency, mobility, and security to foster sustainable applications and contribute to a sustainable society. This article details how Infineon embodies voluntary responsibility through its CSR/Sustainability strategy, embedding it within its products and, crucially, its supply chain management. A particular emphasis is placed on demonstrating how a holistic and flexible supply chain approach enables Infineon to achieve its sustainability objectives.
