Computed tomography angiography (CTA) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) are now standard tools for imaging of aortic disease. Currently, catheter-based angiography is largely used as an adjunct during interventional procedures to treat aortic disease. This chapter reviews recent technical advances in CTA and MRA, the roles of carbon dioxide angiography and intravascular ultrasound in aortic interventions, and touches on the role of echocardiography in aortic imaging.

摘要

Computed tomography angiography (CTA) and magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) are now standard tools for imaging of aortic disease. Currently, catheter-based angiography is largely used as an adjunct during interventional procedures to treat aortic disease. This chapter reviews recent technical advances in CTA and MRA, the roles of carbon dioxide angiography and intravascular ultrasound in aortic interventions, and touches on the role of echocardiography in aortic imaging.
