Cybersecurity has become increasingly challenging due to the alarming rise in cyber threats, particularly in the form of malware incidents. Traditional educational approaches frequently struggle to engage students and effectively enhance knowledge retention regarding cybersecurity. This study aims to investigate the impact of gamification approaches on enhancing cybersecurity awareness among students. The quasi-experimental method was used to assess the effectiveness of the intervention by comparing pre-test and post-test results, thereby measuring changes in students’ understanding of cybersecurity concepts. The study involved 212 undergraduate students from a university in Indonesia. The findings indicate that gamified learning had a positive impact on enhancing student cybersecurity awareness. Moreover, the implementation of the gamified learning program improved students’ knowledge and cybersecurity awareness, with an average increase of 16.53%.

摘要
