The Impact of Working Remotely on Work Life Balance and Mental Health

With an emphasis on their social lives, mental health, and work-life balance, the study intends to explore the preferences and experiences of remote workers in Lebanon. The goal is to provide insights for organizational leaders to improve their decisions regarding remote work policies and practices. A quantitative approach was adopted to conduct the research across various Lebanese industries. Existing literature was reviewed to identify relevant research questions, which were then incorporated into structured questions. The collected data was grouped into categories related to remote work experience, work-life balance, social-life, and mental health. The purpose is to analyze the influence of these variables on the employees’ performance and productivity within the context of several industries. The research findings highlight the experiences and preferences of remote workers in Lebanon. The findings were analyzed and compared to previous research to identify any new insights or trends. The research provides valuable information for organizational leaders and decision-makers. It assists them in evaluating the effects on worker well-being, comprehending the advantages and disadvantages of remote work, and formulating well-informed policies regarding it. The study adds to the amount of knowledge already available on remote work, especially as it relates to Lebanon. The study offers important insights that might guide organizational practices and policies by concentrating on the experiences and preferences of employees.
