A Study on the Transmission and Innovation of Yao Women’s Handicraft Art in the Nanling Corridor Within the Context of Cross-Cultural Communication
摘要
As one of the most significant regions for multiple ethnic minorities in China, the Nanling Corridor nurtures a variety of diverse ethnic cultures. Among these, the Yao women’s handicraft art represents an essential part of traditional ethnic culture, carrying with it thousands of years of historical memory of the Yao people. In today’s context of globalization, where cross-cultural communication is becoming increasingly frequent, new opportunities and challenges are inevitably presented to the Yao women’s handicraft art. This article begins by exploring the historical origins of Yao women’s handicraft art in the Nanling Corridor, systematically elaborating on its connotations and artistic characteristics. It then delves into the current state of transmission of Yao women’s handicraft art within the context of cross-cultural communication from two perspectives: active dissemination channels and encountered challenges. Finally, suggestions for innovation are proposed focusing on aspects such as content dissemination, dissemination channels, forms of dissemination, industrial integration, and talent cultivation innovation. These proposals aim to play a crucial role in promoting the cross-cultural communication, dissemination, and development of Yao women’s handicraft art in the Nanling Corridor.
