As a product of the deep integration of information technology and music education, digital music education is gradually becoming an important developmental trend in the field of music education. This paper explores its advantages and strategies for improving students’ music performance skills. By analyzing the connotation and developmental background of digital music education, this study identifies that abundant learning resources, innovative teaching methods, and personalized learning experiences are the key to improving students’ music performance skills through digital music education. Specific strategies put forward include building a diversified digital music resource library, adopting a blended online and offline teaching model, and utilizing digital music composition software to cultivate students’ creativity. These strategies aim to provide practical references for music educators and promote the robust development of digital music education.
