Research of Sustainable Development and Fashion Application on Plants Dyeing Technique
摘要
Plants Dyeing, employing plant-based materials, boasts a long and rich history within Chinese folk traditions, representing a shared intangible cultural heritage across numerous ethnic groups. Beyond its role as a traditional textile dyeing technique, it stands as a precious embodiment of Chinese folk art. This paper, adopting a sustainable fashion perspective, traces the history and evolution of traditional plant dyeing, analyzes its current application landscape encompassing its inherent advantages, technical status, and utilization in contemporary textiles. Furthermore, it identifies the challenges and issues confronting plant dyeing, such as limited economic viability, technical shortcomings, and constrained market demand. Looking ahead, this paper posits that plant dyeing will encounter new opportunities in future trends, technological innovations, and market expansion through the integration of genetic engineering, nanotechnology, and intelligent production methodologies. Through these means production efficiency and product quality can be enhanced. Simultaneously, by incorporating emotional design approaches, Plants Dyeing is poised to assume a significant role within the sustainable fashion, serving as a bridge connecting traditional culture with contemporary design. Ultimately, it is hoped to offer a unique green lifestyle to global consumers, promoting ecological civilization construction and sustainable development of the economy and society.
