Advancing Human-Computer Interaction in Depression Research: Trends and Hotspots Through a Bibliometric Lens
摘要
This study aggregates design resource knowledge to explore global approaches to depression treatment and research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from 2000 to 2025. Using bibliometrics and clustering techniques, it identifies research trends, emerging hotspots, and collaboration patterns. The analysis covers keyword co-occurrence, regional publications, institutional contributions, and agency involvement, all mapped into key research areas. Findings highlight three key points: (1) The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and multidisciplinary approaches for early screening and intervention; (2) Strong international collaboration, led by the United States; (3) University College London’s (UCL) prominence in shaping research paradigms. The study identifies three emerging research hotspots: (1) Depression treatment for adolescents; (2) Interdisciplinary collaboration prioritising user experience; (3) Digital innovation in treatment methodologies.
