The Information Technology (IT) industry's employment skill landscape has changed due to the rapid progress of automation technologies, especially the rise of bots. There has been an increase in demand for the change in dynamics of the job market especially after the intervention of covid 19 pandemics. The primary aim of this study is to ascertain the degree to which bots have impacted the skill needs for IT professionals. This will help to inform stakeholders in the industry, job seekers, and educational institutions on the changing skills required for success in the area. This study is exploratory and analytical in nature, using a mixed-methods approach that includes quantitative surveys to gauge perceptions of the impact of bots on job skills in the IT sector, case studies of companies utilizing bot technologies, and qualitative analysis of industry trends. This research aims to give a thorough knowledge of the role of bots in changing IT job skills by triangulating results from numerous sources. This research is distinctive since it focuses on the disruptive impact of bots, especially in the IT sector, highlighting new skill prerequisites and gaps in expertise that might appear as automation technologies proliferate. Through clarifying the intricate connection involving bots and IT job competencies, this study adds important information to the current conversation about technology disruption and workforce development in the digital era.
