Clinical Competency Committees
摘要
A Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) is a group of faculty who advise the Program Director (PD) on the progress of each resident in the program. This chapter will discuss the purpose of a CCC, CCC membership, and CCC processes (pre-CCC meeting preparation, during CCC meeting, post-CCC meeting feedback). CCCs must (1) review all resident evaluations at least twice a year prior to the residents’ semiannual evaluations to (2) determine each resident’s progress on achievement of specialty-specific Milestones and (3) advise the PD on each resident’s progress. For residents who are not progressing as expected, CCCs should also discuss recommendations for remediation plans (performance improvement plans) to help the resident based on areas of deficiency.
