Academic/Planned Curriculum
摘要
This chapter provides both a broad overview and many specific examples that help pediatric residency programs design, implement, and evaluate their structured curriculum. First, it is important to define structured education: What does this refer to in pediatric GME? What topics should be covered, and how should a program organize its approach? Next, exploration of how to deliver high-quality education, including best practices in medical education and specific examples of teaching approaches. After a program has determined what they want to include in their structured curriculum and how they want to deliver it, they will need to build a team to organize, teach, and assess. Finally, practical considerations such as where and when structured education have been explored. Throughout this chapter, program leaders will find the answers to the who, what, where, when, and how that they need when planning and implementing their structured education.
