In this first chapter, we introduce the concept of bi-continuous semigroups which was first due to F. Kühnemund. This chapter will serve as an introduction to the basic definition of bi-continuous semigroups and the structure of the underlying space. In fact, we present a lot of examples in order to provide a good understanding of bi-continuous semigroups.

In this first chapter, we introduce the concept of bi-continuous semigroups which was first due to F. Kühnemund.
