摘要

Green nanoparticles’ remarkable catalytic qualities and environmentally benign manufacturing have made them promising photocatalysts for a range of environmental applications. The creation and application of green nanomaterials in photocatalytic processes for environmental remediation are examined in this chapter. These materials, which are frequently produced using ecological and biological processes, provide efficient means of lowering harmful compounds in soil and air, cleaning water and breaking down contaminants. The processes via which green nanomaterials use light energy to speed up reactions are covered, along with variables like stability, surface area and particle size that impact how effective they are at catalyzing reactions. This chapter emphasizes on recent developments in material design techniques, such as surface modification, doping and the creation of hybrid systems, are specifically highlighted in order to improve photocatalytic activity. The technological and environmental benefits of employing green nanomaterials as photocatalysts are evaluated, along with present issues and possible fixes for real-world application alongside the potential of green nanoparticles in developing sustainable remediation solutions by concentrating on their function in mitigating pollution and promoting cleaner environmental practices.
