The UN-driven Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the year 2030 have inspired several technological initiatives. These goals are a comprehensive plan to achieve a sustainable future, addressing global challenges such as poverty, climate change, education, gender equality, health, peace, and justice. Recent techno-logical innovations include 5G/6G networks, the Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Edge Computing. In this position paper, we provide a series of in-sights on how Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and wireless networks can be leveraged to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) supporting human development and reduction of the digital divide.
