Use of Technologies and Agricultural Resilience: A Case Study in Ecuador
摘要
This study identifies the patterns of adoption of agricultural technologies among Ecuadorian farmers and their contribution to enhancing resilience in various agricultural dimensions. Using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the k-means clustering algorithm, five distinct groups of farmers were identified. The findings contribute to a better understanding of the diversity of agricultural producers and the role of ICT in enhancing farmers’ capacity to anticipate and mitigate risks, optimize natural resource use, and provide key inputs for the design of public policies aimed at strengthening the agricultural sector’s resilience and promoting sustainable agricultural development.
