Indicators for Data Visualization in HEI Academic Management: A Review of the Current State of the Art

This paper deals comprehensively with the indicators used in data visualization in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), offering a detailed view of the current state of the art. The importance of clarity and simplicity in data presentation to facilitate understanding is highlighted, as well as the relevance of selecting and presenting key information. Quality management in data visualization is identified as fundamental to stimulate academic knowledge. Accuracy in the transmission of information, accessibility for the entire community, and compatibility with devices emerge as critical aspects. In addition, the need to evaluate the origin and quality of data, the variety in the choice of graph types, and the importance of continuous training in the university community to maximize the benefits of data visualization are highlighted. Overall, the article provides a solid basis for the development of effective strategies in academic management based on data visualization in HEIs.
