The purpose of the study is to identify possible marketing (competitive) strategies that can be used by entrepreneurs planning to promote their goods, works and services in the public sector. Methodology. When conducting the study, statistical tools were used to work with average competition data and key factors and measurements that have a correlation. The sources of information were more than 4 million notices and corresponding protocols on government procurement from the open data of the ftp server of the Unified Information System in the field of procurement in Russia for 2019-2021, collected and processed by a program written in Python using the PostgreSQL 12. Research results. Based on the results of the research, it was formulated what market (marketing strategies) entrepreneurs can use to successfully participate in state and municipal procurement. Using the example of the Russian government procurement market, sectors of the economy and purchased objects are identified, in relation to which the rules of demand, supply, and competition work in a non-classical manner.
