UX Design for AI Literacy in Arabic: A Case Study of the Day of AI Curriculum’s Localization
摘要
This study examines human-centered UI/UX design principles tailored to Arabic-speaking populations. By contributing to the localization efforts of the “Day of AI” curriculum into Arabic, the research investigates the challenges and opportunities of generating linguistically and culturally relevant material and designing effective RTL (right-to-left) interfaces that align with the preferences and needs of Arabic-speaking users. The study leverages a semi-automated multimedia translation pipeline to assess its ability to translate diverse educational documents accurately while preserving context and ensuring alignment with sociocultural design considerations. A systematic analysis of the original Day of AI website design was conducted to identify critical areas for adaptation enhancement and development of a multimedia translation pipeline to aid localization efforts. These findings provide actionable insights for designing digital platforms that accommodate Arabic-speaking users’ needs, contributing to broader UI/UX localization discussions.
