Passive Devices for Male SUI
摘要
The use of passive devices is a significant component of managing male stress urinary incontinence and continues to be an ever-growing field. Many passive implants offer patients a minimally invasive surgical option with high success and satisfaction rates. These devices can be particularly advantageous if a patient has failed prior surgical treatments, does not desire an active surgical device, is not a suitable candidate, or is at high risk for artificial urinary sphincter complications. We aim to review the multitude of passive surgical devices available and highlight the surgical techniques for implantation. With ongoing research and innovation, passive devices will continue to play an essential role in the male stress incontinence management algorithm.
