Lighting is critical in any interior/exterior spaces for both productivity and well-being. However, the importance of lighting design on the educational environment goes beyond simply providing illumination. This study tackles impact of different kinds of lighting in the educational environments, including issues about daylighting and artificial lighting and providing innovative solutions to meet physiological and psychological comfort of students and staff. Four strategies were tested to arrive at an innovative solution using DIALux Evo 12 simulation tool. The results showed that using daylighting shelves on the windows can efficiently decrease the glare. Also, the zonal strategy distribution of lighting with the use of Philips Maxos LED which is a highly efficient LED solution with total luminous flux 4000 lm provided the highly efficient solution in terms of lighting. Also, the use of daylighting through the roof opening strategy showed an efficient solution in saving the energy.
