With the increasing trend of digital transformation, managing megaprojects has been significantly impacted by digital technologies. This study aims to explore the influence of integrating digital technologies with project management methods in the UAE’s electricity sector megaproject through a systematic literature review using secondary data analysis. There is limited empirical research on the impact of digital technologies on megaprojects in the electricity sector. The overall findings reveal the potential to bridge the gaps between project management methods and digital technologies used in managing megaprojects in the electricity sector. The study proposes a conceptual framework for future research and introduces a hybrid project management phase-based framework that integrates agile methods and digital technologies with the traditional project lifecycle.
