“This Circle of Work”: A Conclusion (of Sorts)
摘要
The conclusion revisits the strands of theory (engagement, care, thirdspace) outlined in Chaps. 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , and 11 to synthesise a perspective on teaching artistry that is located in the shifting borderlands of the social and artistic and aesthetics and politics (Neelands, Miracles are happening: Beyond the rhetoric of transformation in the Western traditions of drama education. Research in Drama Education, 9(1), 47–56, 2004). It offers a summary and review of the main points of the book, together with recommendations for future inquiry and practice. It reflects on how authentic practice-based research can enrich our understanding of the skills and values of teaching artistry and Drama-in-Education. It also reaffirms that weaving together theory, participant voice and art is a process that can lead to nuanced and meaningful insights in creativity and education.
