Effectiveness of the Installation and Operation of the Eye-Movement Assessment and Training System in Special Instructional Classrooms in Elementary School
摘要
The number of children with learning difficulties is increasing, and foundational visual functions and reading skills can be improved through eye-movement training. We have developed and implemented a PC-based eye-movement training system called Miru-Tore designed for children attending special instructional classrooms, and we have been accumulating data. However, the effectiveness has not yet been clarified. In this study, we measured the eye-movement abilities of all students at an elementary school using Miru-Tore and analyzed 6 months of training data from students in special instructional classrooms. The results showed that their eye-movement abilities tended to improve, approaching those of average students, suggesting the potential of this system as an effective learning support tool.
